  1. Hi Shahi,

    Good evening,

Need your view on the below query.

When only one UN Number is loaded and it is having excess of 4,000 KG gross mass, then UN number labels to be pasted on container.
    What if
    1. Multiple UN is loaded but each of them < 4000 Kgs
    2. Multiple UN is loaded and one UN has gross mass > 4000 Kgs
    3. Multiple UN is loaded and more than one UN has gross mass > 4000 Kgs

As per my understanding for all the above cases NO UN label to be pasted on outside of container.
Is my understanding correct or there is some other understanding.
    kindly clarify.

    Thanks!!

    1. Good Day,

      Your interpretation is correct.
UN Number to be displayed on CTU only when packaged dangerous goods loaded in excess of 4000 kg gross mass, to which only one UN number has
been assigned and which are the only dangerous goods in the cargo transport unit.

      Reference IMDG Code 5.3.2.1.1.2

      Regards/Shashi
