Indian Directorate General of Civil Aviation has banned carriage of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with effect from 17th October 2016 on all flights to, from or within India whether in checked in baggage or in carryon baggage.  Read DGCA’s prohibition notice here.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), has banned Samsung Galaxy Note7 on flights whether in checked in baggage or carryon baggage in United States. This includes flights within and to / from United States. Ban is with effect from 15th October 2016.

Passengers carrying Samsung Galaxy Note7 will be denied boarding, anyone attempting to evade will be subject to criminal prosecution.
